County in the Community: 2018 Round-Up
Fri Dec 21, 2018 | By: Sara Orritt

This past year we've striven to do even more for the charities we support and our local community.

In June we supported 11-Year-Old Emily, with a discounted vehicle rental for her two-peaks challenge, in aid of Maggies (Oldham).

We also donated a van rental to Stockport Carnival.

With your help, we raised £18.76 for Oldham Mountain Rescue in June (in the wake of the Saddleworth Moor fires) by placing donation buckets in our reception areas.

We also donated a weekend van rental to Stockport Relay for Life in support of Cancer Research UK

In September our staff supported Genetic Disorders UK’s Jeans for Genes with a non-uniform day and raised £24.

We also donated a 3-day vehicle rental to Robinson’s Brewery who used the vehicle to complete an epic 1400 mile sponsored road trip, raising £1000 for Help For Heroes.

Our staff held another fundraiser and donated the £35 raised to Ciaran’s Cause, a local Warrington charity.

In October we supported Breast Cancer Now by wearing it pink for the day and raised £55

We also gave Oldham Cats a discounted vehicle rental for their fundraising activity at Event City.

In November we provided Burnage Food Bank with a discounted vehicle rental.

In December we were not only a drop-off point for Mission Christmas but we also encouraged staff and customers to donate items to Barnabus' Urban Harvest Appeal in aid of the homeless and vulnerable

In total we raised and donated over £1000 of goods, vehicle rental and cash donations
