Can you take a rental vehicle to a recycling centre in Greater Manchester?

Yes, provided the vehicle is not over 2m in height. 

What if my rental vehicle is over 2m high?

You will need to recycle and dispose of your waste via facilities with a weighbridge.

What do I need to take with me?

• You must take your rental agreement(s) with you for the vehicle(s) you are using to transport your waste

You must also take the following relating to the property where the waste is from:

• Your most recent council tax bill (hard copy)
• Your annual water bill (hard copy)
• A utility bill (only gas, electric or landline telephone will be accepted)

Please note mobile telephone bills or other bills will not be accepted.

Is there a charge?

Business waste is chargeable. For personal waste, ensure all documentation (as listed above) relates to a residential address.

Are there any other restrictions?

Restrictions apply to Plasterboard and Asbestos which can only be disposed of at certain sites and in a certain contdition.
